3D Mythical Dragon Chest - Case Study

Draft 1-

Receiving this project, I was at first, unsure of what to do. I had made a plain and simple texture of purple wood and a light grey frame.

However, I wasn't quite happy with it. It seemed like something that you would come across anywhere. It wasn't unique.

As I was watching presentations of the work from my classmates, I was sparked with inspiration after seeing how they made their own chests unique in their own way.

I realized a way I could tie together the purple I had chosen with something not many have seen before; something fantastical... a dragon chest.

And so, during the rest of the presentations, I started working on this idea, curious as to what the others would think.

Draft 2-

Presenting this version to the class, I was inspired to push my creativity even further. 

The things that I was recommended to improve were:

- Quicken the part of the animation where the chest closes

- Make the coins a different colour to accentuate the fantasy aspect

- Change the colour of the fabric underneath the lid

- Add a design to the coins in the chest
